Those who wish to have a chance at presenting at next year’s SXSW Interactive conference should be prepared to submit panel ideas starting on June 2. While this process will last through July 11, I encourage those who are interested to really think about what they want to present. Think of it as a school project: draw up an outline of what topics you want to present, do research, and write stuff down, before you submit an idea. Oh, and make sure you have enough material to last you through the allotted time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen presentations that could’ve been great, had the panelists done a little more work beyond coming up with a catchy title and description.
Should you need inspiration, you can browse last year’s submissions in the Panel Picker, or read the daily recaps from last year’s panels.
